LCD Flat Screen - 52" LCD Flat Screen


1 year, 7 months ago, bought 52" Flat Screen. 1 week ago, LCD Panel went bad. Repair man said would cost more or as much to fix as to replace. Called Toshiba , after a run around, they finally called me back today. So sorry for your bad luck, but unfortunately there is nothing they can do. Was not asking for free TV or Repair. Just ask for a little consideration with repairs. When you pay over $2,000.00 to have a new TV installed, I expect it to work more than 1 1/2 years. Please help.

Anybody who got 1 year or more decent use out of their Toshiba tv is lucky. Ours was bad from day 1. First of all there is a "prism" like flashing around the perimeter unless it is in "zoom." Which makes it impossible to see the entire picture. Secondly, after anywhere from 2 hours to 3 the picture just goes off - well you do get a warning - but who wants to be in the middle of a program and have the picture go out, Furthermore, Bose sold us this piece of junk and now they want to take the stance that "they no longer carry Toshiba products soooo there isn't much they can do! Well I refused to accept that response so I contacted the BBB and guess what? Bose manager called and now we are getting a refund - but Toshiba is refusing to back the product so the Bose store is taking the $2400 hit. I really don't care because they shouldn't have sold me a tv from a company not willing to back their product. Plus they wouldn't have done ANYTHING if I had not contacted BBB.
